On this  very tragic incidence, a special transmission telecasted on 'Madani Channel'. Founder of Dawat-e-Islami, 'Sheikh-e-Tarikat, Ameer Ahle Sunnat, Hazrat Allama Ilyas Attar Qadri Rizwi' making dua and esal-e-sawab for all the people affected in this incidence. This was repeatedly telecasted on Madani Channel. A team of Dawat-e-Islami went to Savar where the incidence occured and met with injured people and made dua. 

'Savar Tragedy'

The eight-story building Rana Plaza, which has four garment factories, a bank, and commercial shops including electronics, clothes, collapsed in the morning around 8.30 AM, 24th April in Shavar, Dhaka. 

Today there is an eight stored building collapse at Shavar, Dhaka. The Rana Plaza that has four garments, a bank, and commercial shops including electronics, clothes, collapsed in the morning around 8.30 AM, hour after garment workers were ‘forced’ to join work.

Few hundred people died and thousands of people severally injured in the collapse. After talking with several Local people they said “more than 500 people died during this collapse”. It was working hour for the garments and in that time in each floor there is more than 500 garments worker working.

Fire Brigade and Civil Defence’s Director General Brig Gen Ali Ahmed Khan said It is not clear how many people were inside the building when it grounded, but estimates suggest around 6,000 workers work in the four garment factories alone.

Four army teams have joined the police, RAB, firefighters and the locals in expediting the rescue work.
